By Bus: This is the most common method for independent travelers. Buses depart from Brașov's "Autogara 2" roughly every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends. The journey takes about 45-50 minutes.

By Car: Driving from Brașov is straightforward via road DN73. Parking is available in the town of Bran, but it can be crowded during peak season. Arrive early to secure a spot.

By Tour: Numerous tour operators offer day trips from Brașov or even Bucharest, often combining Bran Castle with visits to Peleș Castle or Râșnov Fortress. This is a hassle-free option that includes transportation and often a guide.

Is there a lot of walking involved?
Yes. There is a steep walk up to the castle entrance, and the tour inside involves many flights of narrow, winding stairs. Comfortable shoes are a must.
Can I bring a backpack inside?

There are restrooms available for visitors, located in the castle courtyard area.
Is there a gift shop?
Yes, there is a gift shop inside the castle. Additionally, at the base of the castle hill, there is a large market selling souvenirs, local crafts, and food.

Wear comfortable walking shoes. The castle can be cool inside even in summer, so a light jacket or sweater is a good idea. The paths and stairs can be uneven.
Can I visit without a ticket booked in advance?
