Bran Castle offers several concessions to make a visit more accessible for seniors, students, children, and people with disabilities. This page details the eligibility criteria for each discount. Eligibility for Discounts

Free Entry

    • Children under 7 years: Admitted free of charge.
    • Persons with disabilities: Free entry upon presentation of official certification.
    • Companions: One companion for a disabled person also receives free entry.

Reduced Price Tickets

    • Seniors (65+): 45 RON. Proof of age (ID card, passport) is required.
    • Students: 35 RON. A valid student ID card with a photo, for the current academic year, is required.
    • Pupils (7-18 years): 15 RON. Proof of age or a school ID may be required.

How to Claim Your Discount

Reduced tickets (Senior, Student, Pupil) can be purchased online by selecting the appropriate ticket type. However, you MUST bring the corresponding valid ID with you on the day of your visit. Staff will check IDs at the entrance, and you may be required to pay the difference if you cannot provide proof of eligibility.

Free tickets (for disabled persons and their companions) cannot be booked online. They must be obtained from the ticket office at the castle on the day of the visit by presenting the required documentation.

I am a student from outside Romania. Can I get the student discount?
Yes, the student discount applies to students of any nationality, as long as you have a valid student ID card with a photo for the current year.
Are there any free admission days for the general public?
No, unlike some European museums, Bran Castle does not have a regular free admission day (like the first Sunday of the month).
What kind of proof is needed for a disability?
An official, government-issued disability card or a medical certificate is typically required. The documentation should clearly state the person's status.
